WDANZ was launched last week, with some controversy. You can follow the start of the thread on PHPUG here

My feeling is if either it was a non-profit, or it wasn’t named to imply one, there would be no issue. Another NZ blogger at mactips.info has some more commentary.

Update: Today computerworld posted a story about WDANZ. The title is Web Developers Association of New Zealand Hires a Spammer

If all the other issues weren’t enough it has now come to light that;

The Web Developers Association of New Zealand (WDANZ) is off to a shaky start after CEO Dennis Smith revealed he has employed notorious US spammer Brendan Battles to help sell the service.
